Embarrassed to be seen with a Playboy Mag???

Living as I do, in "The Bible Belt" (Atlanta) I still would not be
ashamed to read Playboy on a Marta train or sitting on a bench in the
Mall while waiting for a friend. In this day and age I think the most
you would attract is a bemused look. For heaven's sake, I used to buy
and read it in public back in the 60's, and granted, at that age I
really didn't give a damn who I shocked. But I've always felt that
anybody so prudish as to look down on me for what they considered
pornography obviously were either bible-thumpers or had as much idea
what was inside the covers of Playboy as I do about what's inside
Popular Mechanics. If I notice a guy reading "Wired", I don't
automatically think he must be some friendless geek - it's really none
of my business. And it's nobody's business but mine what I chose to
read, thankfully, in this country. Playboy is, if anything, considered
tame by today's standards, unless you're in a really rural area....or in
church.
