There is a big problem with this centerfold, and it has nothing to do with Marilyn. It's the shadow on her thigh. It makes her hip/upper thigh look a lot more strained than what it is, and breaks up the really attractive line that her hip is actually making. To say that this happened because the photographer was a hack would be a sign that I was no longer dealing with reality. When something that strikes me this negatively comes from a photographer like Bruno Bernard and a magazine like Playboy, I have to assume that not everyone sees this centerfold the same way I do. I'm glad Marilyn was chosen to be a Playmate. I love her dark, bold look. From the neck up she received fine treatment here, with the triangle of her hairline framing a very attractive look on her face. She's communicating a lot. On her list is the suggestion that any attention paid to her would be rewarded in kind. The implied situation here is first-rate, also the handling of the shadows in the background.
