I think she just might go for it. This centerfold and Pamela's selection as Playmate come at an interesting juncture in the history of Our Favorite Magazine. Breasts and bottoms were till then the only "goodies" that could be shown, but they no longer had to hide behind a self-imposed veil of modesty. The sexual revolution was thundering at the gates in 1962. In that context, Pamela's pose is remarkable. It's all about skin. Some of it is her freckled shoulders, but the turn of her torso and the positioning of her arms make it impossible to ignore the fact that this is a large-breasted woman. Playboy had never placed this much graphic emphasis in the centerfold before, and some readers complained about it. Words like "bovine" appeared a few months later. Nowadays a shot like this seems a bit ordinary, if not static and stale. Pamela still comes off very well, however. I love the hairstyle and those alluring eyes. The freckles are just fine as well. The robe provides modesty while still threatening to drop at any time. She had seen my post on a "Frasier" newsgroup (Yes, Our Lady Of The List has other interests besides Playboy and Marilyn!) asking if a "Pamela Gordon" playing a bit part in a "Frasier" episode was the same Pamela who had been a PMOM. It wasn't, by the way. Mark Tomlonson Kalamazoo MI
