A tryst in the haymow has been an erotic staple for centuries, probably arising about the same time animals were domesticated. A close examination of the centerfold shows that Mickey's not lying in a bed of hay, that's a bed of straw. Straw is usually very rough, with a lot of sharp, hard ends. This had to be a very uncomfortable shoot. None of that shows. Mickey is completely in the moment. There doesn't seem to be anything else on her mind except us and what the two of us will soon be doing. It's very hard to argue with that. There is some form and arrangement to the straw, and it takes off of Mickey's pose. There is a darker band running from the mid-center to the upper right of the frame, and a slight depression that frames her face. The discarded clothes add a nice splash of color. Mickey's pose works very well, highlighting a perfectly round bottom and shapely legs.
