In Terre Tucker's centerfold (November 1963) she's seated at the edge of 
a bed, waiting for us to join her.

I'll quickly admit to being no fan of a red and black color scheme. 
Often it strikes an extremely false note, in the same way plastic wood 
grain on the side of a mini-van does. In this centerfold it works. I 
think the difference is the lighting on Terre. It illuminates her in a 
way that makes the red and black background clearly subordinate. The red 
and black pattern works much better as a supporting player.

I love the way Terre is posed here. Her breasts are played up very well 
and have taken on a pleasing set of curves. The blankets are tucked up 
against her leg in a way that minimizes their size slightly while at the 
same time accenting the curve around her hip and upper thigh.

I can't say too much about Terre's expression. It has that slight 
downcast that suggests sexual invitation, but like the pose and 
background colors, stops short of cliché. Terre looks more girlish here 
than in several other shots, and it carries with it a connotation of 
freshness and playfulness.
