No matter what the particulars, it looks like we're going to have a great time. One of the charms of this centerfold, second to China of course, is the notion that the romp isn't necessarily going to involve every page of the Kama Sutra. In a sense this subtlety was forced on Playboy by its advertisers, but it's also one of the marks of a pin-up. This is a great pose for China, showing off not only her wonderful breasts, but the softness and femininity of her entire body. The obligatory fig leaf in no way limits this delight as our eyes trace over each curve. The path of the covering sheet draws our eyes on a lower-left to upper right diagonal, contrasting with the crossing line formed by China. The pink light in the upper right finishes the line started by the sheet. As I've said before, this is all secondary to the main eroticism of the photo, but when the quality of all the elements is this high it makes for an outstanding photograph. I usually use both but events two years ago at the first posting of this review made it impossible for me to access my printed copy. This time around I simply forgot to make the double-check. Usually color shifts are a minor consideration (as I would argue here) but in at least one case (Heather Ryan) the shift was enough to make a decent centerfold a poor one. Mark Tomlonson Kalamazoo MI
