With the challenge she has on her face, Astrid Schulz' centerfold 
(September 1964) might as well be titled "You must be this tall to get 
on this ride". It's still a playful, non-threatening look and keeps the 
mood of the centerfold light and airy.

I can't imagine a pose that would be more flattering to Astrid. This one 
really shows up the fullness of her figure. Not only does it flatter her 
breasts, but also the curve of her legs is really brought front and 
center. We are also given the opportunity to delight in her torso and 
stomach.

The left three-quarters of the centerfold is an interesting play between 
the circle formed by the bedstead and the triangles on the left 
(suggested by the pillows) and the triangles on the right (defined by 
her legs). Nothing very profound here, but it works very well. 
Surprisingly, the right quarter of the picture has very little going on. 
Perhaps because the pose works so well it was "misfit" into the 
proportions of the centerfold. It's a problem that only shows up when 
you look at the picture instead of Astrid, something that most of us 
probably don't do.
