In Majken Haugedal's centerfold (October 1968) she's in bed with us. The 
best thing is that she's really having a good time. It's unlikely she'll 
be getting out of our bed anytime soon.

There are mainly two reasons why a woman would stick her head under the 
covers during a sexual encounter. One of them is because she's being 
playful. The brilliance of this centerfold is that it conveys the one 
that can be talked about in a mixed company of strangers while not 
forgetting the other nor bludgeoning us over the head with it. Proof 
positive that sometimes Playboy's sophistication isn't all artifice.

And of course, there's Majken. I don't expect an argument when I say 
she's a classic beauty. Even the definite sixties make-up can't hide 
what lies beneath. It's a great pose for her as well, showing off 
exactly what she's got in its best possible light. It also shows more 
than what Playboy wanted, so the centerfold shows retouching that the 
scan does not.

Backing this up is an underlying composition that is first-rate. The 
tented sheet was an inspired idea. One more orange spot would be too 
much, one less too little.
