In Elaine Morton's centerfold (June 1970) she's just finished sunning 
herself by the pool. There may be a slight delay in milady's return to 
the manse.

If you lived in California 30 years ago, the Girl Next Door could look a 
lot like this. Elaine is definitely one of the GND's upon which Playboy 
built its reputation. Now you have to live in Peoria to get this natural 
look. (Yes, I'm exaggerating, but you all know what I mean, don't you?)

I really like the freshness and - dare I say it - the wholesomeness of 
this centerfold. This feeling is generated by the innocent situation, 
Elaine's megawatt smile (framed quite well by her hat and hair) and the 
dimples on both sets of cheeks big enough to lose a HUMVEE in. (The 
dimples are actually downplayed in the centerfold shot!).

Elaine's leg is bent, playing up her soft and round hips, and her arms 
give a teasing view of her very attractive breasts. Her slight body 
twist is a very good choice.

The colors are the kinds of earth tones that can look really dated, but 
here they seem timeless. The pattern of the brick stairs makes an 
excellent backdrop.

To explain some of the references, there was an extended thread on this 
List at the time I posted this about the California Factory Blondes that 
seemed to be taking over the magazine.
