To: pml1@yahoogroups.com Subject: [PML1] CC: Liv Lindeland From: Mark Tomlonson Date: Fri, 05 Dec 2003 10:42:39 -0500 Liv Lindeland's centerfold (January 1971) is probably one of the three most famous in Playboy history. There were wisps before 1971, but in this centerfold Playboy's editors decided to quit beating around the bush (so to speak) and after almost 20 years present full frontal nudity in the gatefold. Liv is the embodiment of why Scandinavians are an erotic archetype. She is a knockout. If any woman deserved her status as Playmate, Liv does. Someone once pointed out that Liv should be remembered for more than flashing America, and this photograph should be remembered for more than the amount of explicitness it has. Liv has been posed in a graceful curve that runs all the way from the upper left to mid right to lower left of the photograph. The stained glass window pierces the curve like Cupid's arrow. The dark blue pillows make certain we don't miss the lovely light skin of Liv. Dark skin's great too, of course, but then we wouldn't be talking about Liv. I've gone back and forth about the blue cast to this centerfold. Was Playboy hedging on the exposure thing by being artsy, or were they playing off Liv's cool complexion? Or both?
