In Danielle de Vabre's centerfold (November 1971) we've taken a break 
from dorm life and gone up to the chalet for the weekend. Warm and cozy 
feelings can easily lead to sexy feelings when in the company of a woman 
like Danielle, and she's about to take full advantage.

Danielle has a figure that is very typical for an attractive woman, but 
doesn't have that additional "it" quality that we normally associate 
with a Playmate. Even with that caveat, the creative staff at Playboy 
managed to show Danielle as a sexy, desirable pin-up model.

The pose in the centerfold works, although I will admit it took me a 
while (20 years or so) to warm up to it. A couple of centerfolds show 
the Playmates with their tummies forward. On Danielle that pose works. 
She looks very good, although I think her body looks better in the 
alternate photo. Where she really shines is in her smile. It's filled 
with joy and the source of that joy is the thought of spending time with 
us. Fine with me!

The angled red beams, the snowy background and the red scarf are all 
well placed and do a lot for the centerfold.
