In Susan Miller's centerfold (September 1972) we're just a couple of 
good ol' boys, out for a spin and a beer.

I don't know why I think of this centerfold as being along a Southern 
country road, but I'm "sure" those trees are live oak, and if the camera 
were turned just a bit we'd see the Spanish moss. Maybe it's the "Uncle 
Festus" hat. Maybe it's the easy-going mood Susan is setting. Good 
things are about to happen, but we're going to take some time and do 
them right.

It's always been difficult for me to feel much heat from this foldout. 
Susan is not one of the world's great beauties, but she looks fine here. 
The pose seems to be designed to show off her bottom and not much else. 
The rest of her figure does pretty well, and even her overbite seems 
more endearing than off-putting. Yet it just doesn't gel.

The composition is fairly obvious, with Susan's arms and the fence doing 
yeoman's duty. The beer adds just enough to make this look real, not 
done on a drawing board. It also adds to the overall laid-back feel of 
the proceedings.
