In Julie Woodson's centerfold (April 1973) she's standing in front of a 
window, wearing yellow hot pants that will soon be removed.

This color scheme of this centerfold derives from Julie's wonderful
skin. There are social and political ramifications to having darker
skin in the United States, but none of those enter into this
centerfold. Instead, we are drawn to the silky smoothness and pleasing
tans and browns of Julie by the colors of the blinds, the wall, her
shorts and the pillows.

The setting also is an informal room, one that's designed for fun. The
pillows and the low windowsill point to the kind of fun that comes
from being on the floor with Julie. Her expression indicates this very
fun is currently on her agenda.

Her hairstyle frames her face in a conventional way. Her face is
Julie's most outstanding feature, and with a figure as attractive as
hers this is no small compliment.

One minor quibble: I would have posed her with her right foot flatter
on the sill. She's not really adding a lot of shape to her leg by
pointing it this much, and a slight diagonal to her right thigh would
be more interesting.
