In Marilyn Lange's centerfold (May 1974) she's in a chair. From the look 
on her face, we're being invited to spend the next several minutes, or 
even hours with her.

This centerfold is one of the surprisingly few where a large breasted 
woman looks really, really good. I think the difference in this case is 
that Marilyn's breasts are allowed to just be themselves. While she is 
leaning forward slightly, the effect is still completely natural as 
opposed to a forced pendulous look very common in lesser works. The 
shell necklace is an interesting touch in this regard. The lines formed 
by the necklace, Marilyn's breasts and her right arm all work together 
in a graphically pleasing form, and this too adds a sense of beauty to 
this part of the frame.

Also in this part of the frame we find Marilyn's wonderful smile. It's 
warm and inviting, but not explicit. Good for a pin-up, as we can easily 
supply the story we like best. Her eyes are a bit dark, but not enough 
to cause a problem.

Even the kitten works well here. The Siamese in Avis Kimble's centerfold 
is the only other gatefold animal that fits this well.
