In Jean Manson's centerfold (August 1974) we've surprised her as she 
changes clothes. It's not clear what exactly will be happening next, but 
several pleasant possibilities come immediately to mind.

I will confess it took me a while to warm up to this centerfold. I think 
that's because at first glance Jean seems to be covering up instead of 
uncovering, hiding herself instead of revealing. Since the whole point 
of a pin-up is the revelation of something or another (and not always 
skin) I dismissed this one as being less than Playboy's usual.

As I spend more time studying this one, it's become much more 
attractive. Jean's still covering up, but she hasn't covered up 
completely. She may reveal more soon. Not only that, but the way she is 
holding her arms makes her breasts seem especially soft and caressable. 
Not covering the freckles with make-up was a particularly good choice, 
as the freckles make her seem more natural and make it easier to get a 
three-dimensional illusion from the two-dimensional picture.

It's this softness and caressability that makes for most of the erotic 
appeal in this picture, but the charms of Jean's lovely face can not be 
ignored.
