The smarter of us will finish up whatever we're doing and start paying attention to her. This shot delivers what a shopping mall "glamour" photographer promises: to take an average to slightly attractive woman and make her look great. There's nothing wrong with Whitney's looks, but I doubt any of us are surprised that she did not find a career as an international model. I am mesmerized by her hair. I love the way it cascades over her shoulders. Having her put one knee up on a chair adds just the right amount of tension. The loose fitting jacket is arranged very well, and it makes it easy to imagine our hand rummaging around inside of it. As we've mentioned several times, Playboy in the seventies was flirting with a more explicit look. I like what they came up with in this case. The light draws our attention to Whitney's genitals, but since the light is coming from behind there is still a bit left to the imagination. Tease works, but full-blown explicitness can work as well. Here we have a good balance.
