In Candy Loving's centerfold (January 1979) she's inviting us into her 
bed. The invitation is very welcome.

Candy was a good choice for the 25th Anniversary Playmate. She has a 
voluptuous figure matched by classic "Girl Next Door" looks with a 
strong undercurrent of sexual sophistication. All of these elements are 
present in her centerfold, but all receive short shrift.

The pose selected for the centerfold doesn't make her look ugly, but it 
downplays the roundness and softness of her figure. Her expression is 
very attractive, but it looks like she doesn't quite know what to make 
of the whole situation. The alternate pose does a much better job of 
showing why she was selected not only as a Playmate but also as the 
Anniversary Playmate. Her August 1979 feature, showing her rattling 
around the nearly empty Chicago Mansion, did a much better job of 
capturing her appeal.

The centerfold is by no means a disaster. The lighting and costuming are 
both very good. The main thing to like is the overall sense of immediacy 
and animation, and the feeling that unsure or not, Candy's looking 
forward to what's probably going to happen in the next hour or so.
