In Dorothy Mays' centerfold (July 1979) she's stretched out in a room. 
I'm probably reading a lot into it, but it seems that this is a setting 
and situation found more often among people who are dating rather than 
in an extended relationship. Given Dorothy's youthful, fresh look, the 
setting is a good fit.

I like what is going on in this photograph in terms of the colors. 
Subtle shades of white and tans give a feeling of oasis on a hot summer 
day, a feeling extended by the avocado and bottled water on the 
windowsill and the overall sparseness of the set. Perhaps we have just 
finished a bike ride with Dorothy, and another form of oasis is being 
considered.

The geometry of the photograph is very strong, with the bicycle and the 
window frame continuing the lines of Dorothy's pose. The light string 
across her back draws our attention to her breast, and her legs are a 
delight in themselves, highlighted by the white shoes and socks. The 
repeated patterns outlined by the bicycle frame and her arms are subtle 
and worth noting.

Dorothy's expression is simply a delight. The combination of 
intelligence, cuteness and invitation is irresistible.
