In Lorraine Michaels' centerfold (April 1981) she's come in from the 
rain. A gentleman would offer her a towel. I'd offer to dry her off.

Illuminating this centerfold the way a Klieg light illuminates a coal 
bin is Lorraine's smile. The brightness of her smile makes the bright 
yellow raingear seem dull in comparison. It's so bright you don't notice 
how ridiculous Lorraine's pose actually is. Nobody stands like this 
unless they're goofing off, but here it works.

Part of it's the smile, of course, but it's also because of the fine way 
it shows off her figure. Her breasts are formed into a very nice and 
attractive set of curves. Another big contributor to its success is how 
well it fits graphically. Her left arm echoes both the line of the 
window mullion behind and above her, and it also continues the line set 
up by her left leg.

The role the color selection plays can not be overstated. The blacks, 
browns and tans of the background are Lorraine's colors. They bring out 
the best in her hair and even better in her skin. The yellow raincoat 
and the hint of the red umbrella are inspired accents.
