In her Playmate days Shannon was the young, skinny, awkward girl from Canada. Later she would star in many "B" movies as the young, skinny-with-implants, sophisticated lady. There are hints of that future transformation here, most notably in her eyes and the near-ease that she shows in the feature. Complete ease and effortlessness is not there yet, but it's coming. The dressing gown is reminiscent of the diaphanous material used in the fifties as a cover up. Here nothing is covered. The see-though gown works very well as an accent. It goes well with the half-light coming in through the window. It could just as well be morning as evening tea. Not so good is the hair. It's flowing enough, but a different style is definitely needed. This style is too heavy and lifeless, and it overpowers a truly graceful line running up either side of her torso. No change needed underneath the hair. Shannon shows the sultry, direct but not intimidating invitation that was to keep her fueling male (and possibly some female) fantasies long after her Playboy days.
