In Alana Soares' centerfold (March 1983) we've stopped by her dressing 
room after the show, and she'd like to thank us for the roses we sent.

This is a good centerfold, and shows several things about Alana in very 
good ways. The Veronica Lake look is inherently sexy, if you can pull it 
off. Not as many who try it can, but for all we know Alana looks like 
this every day. It's a true delight to see her bright eyes looking at us 
through the wisps of her lovely auburn hair.

Her figure is very good as well, and this pose is a good one to show it 
off. It's easy for a hack photographer to make a woman built like Alana 
bovine, but there is no danger of that happening here. I'm probably the 
only who's noticed this, but the tension in her right arm and the 
resulting dimple really adds life to photo. She doesn't seem posed so 
much as captured in time.

As a fan of dark rooms, I love the setting. Alana's eyes and the crystal 
case add a great deal of sparkle and keep the mood from becoming too somber.
