More than any other, Rebecca Ferratti's centerfold (June 1986) brings to 
mind words like "feline" and "feral". Mostly it's the hair, but don't 
overlook Rebecca's contribution.

She almost has the figure to make this pose a stunner. Another five to 
ten pounds would have done wonders. She does have the expression, the 
face and the attitude to make it work and I see why Playboy's editors 
chose to run it.

The eighties are known as the Hair Decade, and Rebecca certainly shows 
it. Combing out that tease must have taken a long time. The effort was 
worth it. She comes across in the centerfold as a wild, sexual creature. 
A perfect coif just wouldn't do.

The lines in the centerfold push Rebecca forward. The lines of her left 
leg and arm pull our eye towards her head. So does the line of the dune 
behind her that looks like it's giving her a goose. Coupled with 
Rebecca's crouching a lot of tension and kinetic energy is stored in 
this photo. The rocks add balance, keeping Rebecca from looking like 
she's going to fall over, as does the way she's bending her right arm.

If only she didn't look so startled.
