In Corinna Harney's centerfold (August 1991) she's in the shallow end of 
the pool. I'm going to dive in anyway.

I am absolutely in love with the use of water in this centerfold. I love 
the way it looks; how the cool blue color plays off the warm Corinna and 
the yellow cloth accent draped over her. The moving water adds tension 
and excitement to the photo. I love the image of Corinna rising out of 
the water, and how that image is carried over in her expression. It's 
not seductive; it's wild and feral, waiting to be tamed. The crouch was 
the perfect pose.

It's not that strong an erotic image. The pose doesn't hurt Corinna in 
any way - far from it - but it also doesn't go out of its way to flatter 
her, either. As good as Corinna's expression is, it lacks that last bit 
of oomph that would raise it from very good to knock your socks off.

I'm not trying to damn with faint praise here, go back and read that 
second paragraph. I am trying to explain why this centerfold can be as 
good as it is but not be a 4.0.
