In Kelly Gallagher's centerfold (September 1994) there is little 
question about what's on her mind. She's been posed in front of her bed, 
and she doesn't look at all sleepy.

She doesn't look much of anything else, though. There's not a lot of 
drama in this photograph. All Kelly is asked to do is just stand there 
and look pretty. She rises to the occasion with a very natural and 
appealing figure. The pose provides what drama there is, and it does all 
that's asked of it. Kelly seems very comfortable. That's not a virtue 
every time. I wonder if more could have been done to inject a little 
more life, tension or drama into the picture.

One really strong point is the lighted fan or drape behind her head. 
It's a great highlight, with a lot of interest in the color and the 
shading, especially since the rest of the background comes across to me 
as very plain and subdued.

As sexy as lingerie can be, you'd think it would be easier to get right 
in pin-up photography. It's tricky, and this shot of Kelly is one of the 
times when it works very well.
