I've got a big problem with this shot, and once again I can trace it to the model's expression and pose. As I look at this picture, I can't imagine Alicia saying anything but "You want me to put my hand where?" When a lover asks me this as an attempt to find what I want it's the best question to ask in the world. This context is entirely different. Alicia's not talking to me; she's clearly talking to the photographer. I look at pin-ups to feed fantasies. They don't have to be explicit; maybe the pin-up merely conveys a mood. Maybe it lets me pretend that the model and I are the only two people in the world. Maybe it leads me to imagine doing something I would never do in real life. It makes no difference; it's all fantasy. With a look like Alicia's, the fantasy all comes crashing down around my head. The rest of the elements in the photo range from uninspired to competent, with the lighting probably the best thing going.
