The dominant sepia-like colors add to the antique effect. It's that monochromatic color scheme that's the best thing about the centerfold. Everything is light brown, even Priscilla, yet it's not boring. There is enough shading and variety to keep our eyes dancing from one corner of the photograph to the other. There is no flatness or dullness to it. The other major factor is a good news/bad news situation, and that's Priscilla's pose. For some reason, it draws my eye into the photograph. It's one that really shows off her marvelous breasts and lets us see her face in an excellent semi-profile. The bad news is around her legs. Not only does it look like she's struggling to stay on the stool; her knees are locked together in the I-have-to-go-potty semi-fig leaf that was common in centerfolds during this time. I don't think this could be changed without doing something entirely different with her legs. Pulling us away from this downer is Priscilla's expression. It's tentative, yet with enough desire to make a pursuit seem to have the possibility of success.
