In Deanna Brooks' centerfold (May 1998) she was just getting ready to 
write us a note. Now the message can be delivered in person.

There are some interesting details in this centerfold that crank it up a 
notch above average. The first is the slightly open upper cabinet door. 
This creates a dark line that leads us directly to Deanna's face. On 
another front Deanna's right hand is posed in a way that makes it easy 
to imagine it holding anything else, and the inkwell pulls our eye 
towards it.

The Victorian lingerie Deanna is wearing does the job it has been asked 
to do: make it easy for our eyes to understand the curves and lines of 
Deanna's torso.

Deanna's pose is pretty common in modern times because it allows full 
but not explicit exposure. She's relaxed enough and the pose is subtle 
enough that we don't think about her bathroom habits. Her breasts have 
been treated better. The portfolio shots almost all illustrate this.

It's a warm color scheme, and when you're dealing with a naked woman 
warm is good. The secretary does an admirable job of warming things up, 
as do filters and other photographic tools.
