In Michelle McLaughlin's centerfold (February 2008) she's giving us
our own, very special pole dance. It looks like we were a good boy
this Valentine's!

Despite getting stuck in a rut from time to time, Playboy does feature
a wide variety of women in its gatefold. Michelle is a return to the
idea that a great looking woman can be found living next door. She is
not a woman who has spent most of her fortune at the plastic
surgeon's. Michelle's figure is not that of an inflated blonde, and
the arms-up pose suits her well.

And this is also not a woman we're with for just one night. Maybe
we'll be with her for two weeks, maybe two years, maybe longer. But
the brass pole not withstanding, we're not with Michelle because we
got lucky tonight at the High-de-Ho.

It's Michelle's expression that reveals her amateur standing. It's
tentative and unsure, and that what's holding this centerfold back. I
don't know if Michelle had issues when she posed, if she doesn't
relate well to the camera or if I'm reading way too much into this. A
stronger, more confident expression would have made this centerfold
much better.
