Well, maybe we'll do something else first. This is Playboy's third centerfold, and the first to tell a bit of a story. It's an old story in the world of pin-ups. A woman at her dressing table is a common theme, and here it's told with aplomb. Margaret has just enough sophistication to pull this off without looking trashy. Most of that can be traced to the setting. It was the style of the fifties to equate frilly with sexy. We almost go overboard here. The round mirror is an excellent frame, and as our eyes complete the circle we pass through Margaret's lovely chest. The colors have a definite red shift. It's hard to say if that's natural or age. The necklace adds a nice dose of sparkle. Call me old fashioned, but implants never seem to look this good. It's a simple, natural form in the Classical style. 2500 years earlier the Greeks would have carved Margaret in stone. We get a pretty picture, well crafted, a delight to contemplate and one that still holds up almost 50 years after it was taken.
