In Arline Hunter's centerfold (August 1954) she's stretched out on the 
photographer's canvas. Man, what a stretch!

I can safely call this my favorite Playboy center spread to date. 
(August 1954) Arline looks stunning, both as she lays out on the floor 
and as she looks up at the camera.

Poses where the model has one leg bent and another straight give us the 
opportunity to consider the female leg in its two shapeliest positions. 
It's seen a lot in pin-ups, and this one demonstrates why. Even more 
important than that, there is an exuberance in Arline's pose that wasn't 
seen in the center spreads before this. She is a woman who enjoys being 
nude. Really, really enjoys it. The look on her face says there is 
something she enjoys even more.

Arline has a button nose. It's been a while since we've seen a Playmate 
like this, and I wonder if it's now considered a disqualifier. They're 
not glamourous, but centered in the right face they can be very cute.

Arline has the distinction of being the first Playmate to go on to porn. 
Her short "Apple Knockers With a Coke" was often attributed to Marilyn 
Monroe.
