The same stool, I believe, that was used in Jayne Mansfield's centerfold. The only thing wrong with this centerfold is that I'm comparing it to all the other Playboy centerfolds. It's an O.K. pin-up: pretty girl, mysterious look on her face. The problem is that after about ten minutes of looking at it you could pass by on a flip-through of the August issue and not bother to look at it again. Pat projects just enough sexual heat to make you aware that she's not the new schoolmarm, and no more. Nothing wrong, just that other pin-ups (like the alternate photo) project a lot more heat. The lighting and color is good. It's a pleasant arrangement and fits well within the frame, but it seems much more textbook than inspired. The pipe, as dark and foreign as it is, makes its point with a tire iron across the kneecaps when the man's shirt she's wearing already made the same statement with a gentle kiss. If this is a centerfold you've liked ever since you first saw it that's O.K. My point is that Playboy did much better many times. Just goes to show what a little dash, a little imagination and a little flair can do. http://cyber.playboy.com/members/playmates/files/1955/08/centerfold.html http://cyber.playboy.com/members/playmates/files/1955/08/03-lrg.html Mark Tomlonson Kalamazoo MI
