It's clear that it's us she wishes to not be disturbed with. This is an excellent setting for a centerfold, and it was used twice after this appearance. The other two are good, but this one's the best of the three. This picture has a great deal of life to it, and several things contribute to the feeling. First is the pose. We see this kind of action in real life all the time, and it takes no more than a moment. Secondly is the way the bed in the background hints at future action. The soft bedside lamp draws our eye in this direction. Thirdly, and perhaps most important, is the slight look of devilment on Marlene's face. It takes no effort at all to imagine this look breaking out into pleasant laughter, a laughter that comes from Marlene's joy at being with us. Who doesn't like the idea of a beautiful woman who wants us? The lighting is warm and cozy, the reddish bedroom light fueling the fire. The three-part vertical division of the picture is well placed.
