In Ginger Young's centerfold (May 1960) she's inviting us for some 
afternoon delight. It might be worth joining her, but there's little 
evidence here to sway our decision.

Let me say right off that Ginger is an attractive woman. She's got a 
great face, and an expression that indicates she could provide some 
intelligent conversation in between sexual escapades. But she's not 
Playmate material. She's got the figure of an average woman, and that's 
not what I expect to see in a Playboy centerfold. I want a woman who's 
got a figure that's more attractive than average. Or if it is average 
(or below), I want to see it in its best light.

The pose makes Ginger look much uglier than what she is, and with a 
professional photographer and production staff shooting the pin-up that 
should be a crime. Neither Ginger's breasts nor stomach show any 
discernable form. The efforts to provide modesty with the bedrail and 
Ginger's arms just make matters worse. Given the period, I'd have gone 
for a vertical shot with a bit of peek-a-boo with a shirt instead.

The lighting is great, and Ginger has a wonderful smile. Other than 
that, nada.
