It's not a bad effort, and interesting editorial placement just after Merissa Mathes, who was equally nude but showed far less. Two things make this centerfold stand out. The first is Unne's costume. It's a sheer piece of fabric that almost reveals. She posed to be just coy enough with it to make it work, as if she grabbed a quick cover-up and only later discovered it didn't cover as well as she thought it was going to. Or maybe she did know. The second thing that really is nothing short of amazing is the use of white. I never cared much for French Provincial, but in the early sixties it was the height of feminine elegance. The bad thing for Playboy was the difficulty in lighting and printing white. It's a first-rate job here, with even the details in the carpet plain to see. It's a great effect to have Unne come out of the brightness like an angel. Too bad they were much less successful the next month.
