I think the make-up sex afterward is what's really on her mind. I love the sense of utter spontaneity, delight and play that's been captured in this photograph. Sensuality, smoldering passion and wanton desire are all good too, but they're not the only things that make a woman or pin-up model sexy. This simple sense of delight is echoed in the simplicity of the background and set. There's a lot that can be read into Phyllis' flicking of the water, and it's all delightful. This photograph is held back on two counts. First is the fig leaf. There's a lot of tension in those butt cheeks, lest too much be shown. I also wonder if Phyllis has the figure to really do this pose justice. There's nothing that's outright wrong. I guess in a perfect world there'd be more dramatic curves. The other count is her face. For some reason I always thought of Phyllis as being about ten years older than she actually was. Not that there's anything wrong with looking 36, except when you're 26.
