In Lannie Balcom's centerfold (August 1965) she's changing into a 
swimsuit in her cabana on the beach. Maybe, if we're lucky, we can delay 
the process a bit.

I'm a real heat wimp (above 80 degrees I hibernate) but I love the warm 
feeling that permeates Lannie's centerfold. The orange tent, whether 
it's filtering sunlight or Klieg light, is to blame for this, and it's a 
great choice. It compliments Lannie, it is a subtle reinforcer of the 
subtle erotic heat and it's not so warm that guys like me can't relate.

The arrangement of the frame is a pyramid, with Lannie's smiling face at 
the apex. Lannie's figure is a good part of the attraction here, her 
breasts in particular receiving a fine treatment.

The real kicker is her expression. She's ready to play, and not 
necessarily with a beach ball. Even if that was all she wanted to do, 
you can bet you'd have a great time doing it. It even looks like you'd 
have a good time clipping coupons for the Safeway. I'm sure Lannie had 
her bad days, but you'd never know it from this picture. A woman in a 
good mood always draws my attention.
