To: pml1@yahoogroups.com Subject: [PML1] CC: Pat Russo From: Mark Tomlonson Date: Fri, 03 Oct 2003 10:20:11 -0400 In Pat Russo's centerfold (November 1965) she's standing in a richly appointed hall. This is one of those centerfolds that makes me wonder what Playboy's editors were thinking when it was chosen. From the neck up, Pat is stunning. Her utterly feminine face, enough to launch a task force if not an entire fleet is framed by a hairstyle that, while very much a product of its time, compliments her look perfectly. From her neck down it's a different story. In a word, she's too broad. Flat on to the camera like this her breasts look, well, too flat. Covering them up with the negligee was a particularly bad choice, as it makes it look like she's hiding something. Her hips and lower torso look like they should have been hidden. Her hands are extremely stiff and unnatural. The alternate photo and others in the portfolio point to those statements being lies. Pat has lovely breasts, and hips and legs that could stop traffic from a block away. She's actually, as women go, on the skinny side. Why make her look heavy? Why the clumsy attempt at erotica with the baby doll pajama? Why this photo?
