In Kathy MacDonald's centerfold (March 1969) she's stretched out in bed 
reading the Sunday morning comics. From the smile on her face, it may 
well be that in a little while we'll join her, and "do what other people 
do, on Sunday morning."

In a collection of Peanuts comics, I discovered that the paper Kathy is 
reading dates from April 1968. This confirms what has been hinted at on 
this list in terms of the production schedule of the centerfolds and 
PMOM features in Playboy.

The graphic construction of this centerfold is very strong and very, 
very subtle. For example, the creases in the pillow form rays moving out 
of (or into) Kathy's head. These draw our eyes to her wonderful face. 
The lines of the blankets and sheets and the paper on the left all bring 
our eyes toward the center of the frame and toward Kathy.

It could be just me, but Kathy never looks really comfortable nude in 
front of the camera. She doesn't look like she's been tricked into being 
there; just maybe she had some reservations about the deal. She seems to 
be very modest. Maybe there was something else going on.
