In Nancy McNeil's centerfold (July 1969) she's standing on her bed, 
taking off her pajamas. This is a photograph brimming with promise and 
expectation. We know what's going to happen next, and we're going to 
enjoy every minute of it.

In Nancy's centerfold we see what pin-up photography is supposed to be. 
A gorgeous woman made to look even better by the skill of the production 
staff. I've never seen a picture of Nancy that looked better, or made me 
want to spend so much time next to that lovely, preferably naked, body.

The pose really demonstrates how attractive her breasts are. The fig 
leaf is O.K. because we know those pajamas are coming the rest of the 
way off very soon. That's a minor point. The major one being how good 
her entire torso looks.

There has to be more light here than the hanging one we see, yet the 
rest of the light is that same warm, incandescent glow that does wonders 
for both Nancy and the wood grain. The rectangular forms behind her are 
perfect background players. The brown and blue color pairing is one I 
can never seem to make work, but here it's great.
