In Carol O'Neal's centerfold (July 1972) we stopped her in the middle of 
changing out of her swimsuit. While the view is very pleasant, it's 
unclear if we are being invited to do anything else.

This must have been a difficult centerfold to produce. Carol is in my 
eyes a woman who is undisputedly sexy and beautiful. She has a look that 
is a compelling blend of cuteness and sophistication. Her body, while 
attractive, looks to have been hard to show to its best advantage.

Carol has a lovely bustline. She is by any definition a small woman. The 
pose selected for her centerfold was probably chosen to make her breasts 
look fuller, as was the decision to play up her tan lines. I don't think 
either effort was a total success, primarily because the pose also adds 
to the apparent width of her hips. There is no doubt in my mind that I 
would have gone with the alternate pose instead. In it Carol was 
stretched out, giving us a lithe, limber, seductive woman.

Having the bikini on the basket match Carol's tan lines was a good 
touch, as was the choice to go with a warm color scheme.
