In Victoria Cunningham's centerfold (April 1975) she's standing in a 
foyer, having just brought our newspaper in from the rain.

It's hard to do a dark centerfold and have it work as a pin-up. Here's 
the exception that proves the rule. What makes this one work is the use 
of the shiny black vinyl; the light coming from the window in the center 
of the frame, the light tan floor and the lovely tanned Victoria. The 
umbrella is just the right highlight in the perfect spot.

Not only the colors, but the costume works very well. The tops of the 
thigh-high boots make a line that flatters Victoria. The collar of the 
coat highlights and accents Victoria's breasts. Rumour has it they've 
been "enhanced". I would tend to agree, but this is afar better job (if 
it is) than most of the current crop.

Breasts aside, Victoria's coloring and complexion also make this dark 
mood work. She's dark, mysterious, intriguing and arouses our curiosity 
(among other things) .

The only thing that doesn't work for me here is that damn dog. He's 
obviously not with the program, and any advantage gained from his light 
coloring is outweighed by the distraction.
