For better or for worse, this foldout represents for me better than any other example the tone and style of Our Favorite Magazine in the seventies. The centerfold and Linda's entire PMOM feature is very sexual, with an overtness and directness that had not been seen in Playboy before. This isn't a matter of chasing popcorn down panties. What sets it apart from what came before is the total and utter lack of sexual tease or ambiguity. This is one of the better examples of that look. The blues and whites and the simple set give it a very feminine quality. The pose is a tricky one to make look good, but here Linda stretches out without destroying her curves. Wet, slicked back hair can be tricky as well, but again it works very well for Linda. An interesting point for me (besides Linda) is the slightly diagonal line formed by the bottom windowsill. No magic here, it's the result of the camera's position. It goes a long way to making the photo seem more alive, introducing just the right amount of graphic tension.
