Yep, she's posed. This isn't a bad centerfold, I guess. My main reaction to it was to flip to the Party Jokes on the back. Kristine isn't helped by the nearly non-existent hairstyle that plays up a mousy brown color and formless 'do. Nor is she helped by the blank, semi-bored look on her face. The setting is up to Playboy's standards of set dressing, but no more. Her pose is uninspired, and not that good a fit for her. Judith Reisman would say the dolls make this centerfold child pornography, proving that having a Ph.D. is not a guarantee of either intelligence or common sense. The alternate photo, on the other hand, along with a couple of photos in her feature hint at the passion and beauty that lies within this gorgeous young woman. I don't know why that passion didn't make it into the centerfold. Maybe it was that seventies malaise, or just a bad day. Maybe Kristine and her centerfold photographer just didn't click. As a viewer/consumer I shouldn't have to worry about those things. A couple of the jokes were O.K.
