In Candace Collins' centerfold (December 1979) she's standing with her 
knee on a bed. From the look on her face, there is no doubt that she is 
undressing and we will soon be joining her. In the bed.

Take an outstandingly beautiful model, pose her in away and situation 
that highlights her sensuality and flatters her figure, apply the best 
principles of design, use a master craftsman with a camera to take the 
picture and you should have a dynamite centerfold, right? You'd think 
so, but this centerfold has always fallen a bit short of the mark for me.

I think it's mostly the lighting. Its directness gives a plastic, 
artificial look to Candy's skin. Her pose also has a problem in that 
she's trying to portray a fleeting moment in a relatively long exposure. 
It's not easy to do, and here I think both photographer and model 
haven't quite nailed it. Lastly is the hairstyle. It can be very 
flattering, as can be seen in other photographs taken at this time, but 
from this angle it gives her a more severe look than I like.

It's not a bad picture by any stretch, just not a winner.
