In Gina Goldberg's centerfold (May 1981) she's inviting us to join her 
on the pillows. It's an invitation that would be very hard to decline. 
The true jewel is not going to be found in the silver case.

This centerfold is an example of how a good photographer will play to 
the model's strengths. Here, it's Gina's back, bottom and legs. There is 
just enough of a bend in her legs to bring out the attractive, rounded 
shapes in all three. A strong line running from the upper center of the 
shot to the lower right adds to the emphasis. Having one sock on and one 
off lends a sense of anticipation while drawing even more attention to 
her legs.

I can't ignore Gina's stunning face, either. There is a very subtle and 
effective frame created by the pearls and the bit of a red scarf. A 
couple of foldouts have tried this very idea and failed miserably, so 
it's a special delight to see it done correctly.

The colors work very well here also. The dusky gray pillows are 
definitely an eighties color. They're used to great effect with Gina's 
tan skin and the mauve and pink accents.
