In Susie Scott's centerfold (May 1983) she plays the part of a nymph 
we've surprised in the garden. That's somewhat irrelevant in this 
centerfold, as the focus is on Susie.

A photograph of a woman caressing her own breasts can be very erotic, 
but it's hard to do that with the class and sophistication that are 
Playboy standards. Susie's hands in this centerfold stray pretty close 
to a couple of precipices, but never go over the line.

They work on the erotic front, giving a sense of personal contact 
without losing the wholesomeness that usually typifies a Playmate. This 
is due in part I think to the other edge it negotiates well, and that is 
having it look good graphically. There's nothing forced here - putting 
her hands on her upper chest seems like Susie's idea, not the 
photographer's.

The backlight was probably pretty obvious at the time of the shoot, but 
it pays off well as it streams through Susie's lovely hair. I could 
never overstate how Susie herself adds immeasurably to the success of 
this centerfold. It's just her out there all alone with no props, and 
she does it very, very well.
