In Tracy Vaccaro's centerfold (October 1983) she's getting up from the 
tanning bed. The good news is it looks like we're the reason she's 
getting up.

Every bit of this centerfold is good. It's when you put all the bits 
together that things begin to fall apart.

I love the look on Tracy's face. There are so many nuances to her 
expression. I like the attitude of her breasts. They're not given a 
dramatic showcase, but there's no doubt in my mind as to their 
caressability and desirability. I love the way her stomach has just 
enough tension to differentiate her from a sausage. I love the revealing 
but still teasing show between her legs.

Yet when you put it all together there just isn't that much there. There 
is a lack of a unified vision as to how we're to look at Tracy. No, 
merely drooling isn't enough, not in a Playboy centerfold.

What is worthy of a centerfold (other than Tracy) is the way the bright 
lights of the tanning bed are handled. No matter how it was actually 
done, we get the strong feel of hot lights without burning out the rest 
of the image.
