In Kim Evenson's centerfold (September 1984) she had a surprise for us 
out on the veranda as she was studying, but it's still a little cold and 
she's wrapped herself in her sweater. Looks like she's still going to 
follow through with the surprise, though.

I absolutely love the use and control of color in this centerfold. It's 
a pastel South Florida/"Miami Vice" look that sets this pin-up squarely 
in the eighties, but who cares? Just because a Flemish master can be 
spotted by even a semi-trained eye at forty paces doesn't mean it's not 
a good painting. The light pinks, blues and greys all fall together 
here, and Kim herself adds to the light pink of side of the spectrum.

Her pose was a good choice, playing up the softness and caressability of 
her breasts instead of playing up her figure. The legs are a bit 
awkward, but bring out their shape and no harm is done.

I just wish I could buy her expression. I'm not seeing Kim smiling coyly 
on the veranda, I see Kim playing the part of Kim smiling coyly on the 
veranda. If nothing else, it shows that modeling and acting aren't that 
far apart.
