In Donna Smith's centerfold (March 1985) she's challenging us with a 
look over her shoulder. If we play our cards right, we can join her in 
the bed. Otherwise our bed tonight will be far less pleasant.

This centerfold is an interpretation of a standard cheesecake theme as 
defined by Mark Gabor in "The Pin-up": a hose and garter shot from the 
rear, with the model looking over her shoulder with a coy expression. A 
classic form doesn't limit a truly creative mind (how many great songs 
are based on three chords?) and we don't see any limitations here.

Donna has the body to make this one work. Coming at her from this angle 
was a great choice to play up her bottom and the legs that never seem to 
end. Her breasts are O.K., but a lot less dramatic than the other 
elements of this pose.

The red drives this centerfold and there's enough white and off-white 
around so it never overpowers. The black straps are admirable accents.

Besides Donna, two things I really like: her very subtle curve towards 
the right of the frame and the way the bedsheets make her look like a 
jewel on a cushion.
