In Devin DeVasquez' centerfold (June 1985) we're joining her for a 
picnic in the bayou. The lunch bag hanging from her handlebars is not 
what's drawing our interest.

Devin is one of Playboy's more stunning Playmates, personifying 
everything that's attractive in a woman in her twenties. Her body is 
young, tan, and utterly natural: a figure the Greeks would have sculpted 
in marble. She's leaning backwards, which puts an emphasis on her total 
body, not just any particular part. Even better, she's not so far back 
that we need to worry about helping her up. Her look is very appealing, 
although a little more assurance in her expression would have worked as 
well.

This studio shot pays homage to her Louisiana roots. We can enjoy the 
bayou without the bugs. The green and yellow color scheme flatters 
Devin's skin tone making it seem even tanner. It's also not common in a 
Playboy centerfold and helps to make this one stand out from the crowd.

There's not a whole lot of strong graphic action, taking a back seat to 
Devin. Of more interest is the very subtle tonal blend from dark to 
light as your eyes move up the centerfold.
